The weapon skills available in Nioh are learned using Skill Points, which are earned either by increasing Proficiency with that weapon or by using the locks of hair Items. You can view and edit the current assignments from the Skill Customization screen. Their vast variety and application in many combat situations make them an indispensable part of character progression. and they are subdivided into Active, Passive, Jutsu or Custom Active Skills. There is a skill tree for every weapon type, as well as for ninjutsu, onmyo magic, shifting skills and samurai skills. The skill system has been completely revamped from Nioh and tailored to better represent RPG games and facilitate builds. Skills in Nioh 2 are used to perform stronger attacks, infusions or other types of magic.
